I just reserved our stay for the week of Dec 6. Since people talked about 10-15 min walks to get to different parts of the property, I would like a room that is centralized and close to the main restaurant. Does anyone have a pdf or image of the room scheme there? It might be early enough to request a particular room.

Our room was right next to the main resaurant, couldnt get any closer. When you came down the stairs you were right at the walkway to the restaurant. It seemed like 10 miles from the scuba dock though, no fun when carrying all your own equipment down there every morning. It was an Oceanfront Deluxe Room.

Grafx,

Now that you know where you want to be, I suggest you start faxing (harassing) Reception on a weekly basis - NOW!

I was there in July and despite requests, ended up in the 600s. This is basically on the next island, past the tennis courts, near the waterski and jetski. It was on the exact opposite side of the village from the scuba diving, which I had requested to be near. In the heat and humidity, it really made it miserable getting over there every morning (and trudging back at night - you were forced to stay out all day to avoid the hike). Frankly, it put a damper on the whole trip (as did everything else Reception did).

The incompetence of Reception (and the blatant fawning/orientation of the whole village toward the French) pretty much put me off CM for any future trips. (FYI: this was my 22nd village, so once again, they've lost a loyal customer.)

Trish,

Sorry they made it so rough on you. Our room was centralized but we carried out scuba equipment back and forth everyday so we made it hard on ourselves. There was an option to leave it down by the sea center but we chose not to.
We never had any issues with reception, everything worked out just right for us.
The GO team while a slight lean towards the French side, didnt make it overly an issue for us and Phillipe Phelan was a very good CDV. The GO team really can make or break your trip if you need to rely on them for anything.
