Hey

Just got back from Bintan a week ago. Has anyone else who 's been there recently noticed how annoying the yoga GO Kadek is? It's like he won't stop following you!! Is Polski back from his holiday? We just missed him!

Once in my life I took a yoga lesson, and it was March 2005, in Bali CM, ... somehow I never felt like having another try. Do we really have to play with the next person's ear ????

Hey! Sorry about that! That last post was meant to be sent by me. Didnt realize my sis was still logged on. Hey GODJ, do you remember which days you were in Bali? Cuz we might've seen each other without knowing! I was there from the 2nd to the 6th. Was the village empty and boring when you went? Was Youssef CDV? He's really nice isn't he?

Just had to check my passport, was there March 19 to April 2, yes Youssef was CDV, and my wife was working at the boutique that time. It was indeed quiet, but still great, don't need a big crowd to have a good time.
Youssef is really nice, I have met hime on several occasions and have never met such a kind and helpful CDV.

Somehow thinking of my one and only yoga lesson I can't help to remember this episode of Friends where Chandler explains Joey (who just came back from his taylor) about "cupping". Gasp!

Oh yes! I remember that episode in season 2! I love friends! Your wife was a GO? Where is she from? I don't need a big crowd to have fun either but I guess the GOs were kind of taking a break because there were little people so it wasn't as fun as usual...So you've never tried yoga after that?

Anybody knows where this Kadek character is from?

Oh and CircusMermaid, here's a tip for the next time. If they ask cheesy questions, give them stupid answers. If they ask too many questions, start telling them the most outrageous things about yourself - that way yif you can't get rid of them, you at least pass the time nicely.... amusing yourself by seeing how much of crap he will believe! hahaha...
It's not a very nice thing to do... but if someone doesn't not get the "no, no" signals you are sending out, then... it's their problem, right?

All in good time

Haha Minouche! Nice tip...:D It'd be really funny to do that. By the way, Kadek is Indonesian (from Bali) and I heard from one of his colleugues (Sofia, a malaysian yoga GO now in Cherating) that he was locked up in Ashram, this Buddhist monastary thing, for like 7 years. Well, no wonder he's so desperate! She didn't like him at ALL either. And she had to WORK with him. Yikes! Thank goodness she was only in Bintan for training and left to Cherating where hopefully there aren't any freaks like him! As for your tip, it's a very good one but I'm kind of a chicken :( so it might not be of use to me! Imagine they get you're making fun of them and then you have to face them all the time and might come across them at another village! That'd be really uncomfortable.

heyya, i just came back from bintan and now i see this, lol! heh, well, i just thought he was being friendly or something, so we just talked a bit. i dunno, i did find him a little odd at times, but i mean everyone has their quirks so i quickly forgave that. haha, and now reading this...makes me think twice on why i gave away my email when he asked for it. but then again, he didnt seem desperate or anything, just the same, usual, casual talk another GO would start up. anyway, its not like i'm receiving tons of stalker letters from him or anything, i doubt anything will come through, afterall GOs dont seem to use their coms much, busy-ing themselves at all the activities in the resort.

hey mermaid!
haha... yeah... not everybody can do it. But i find that if u make fun of making fun of them, it usually just embarrases them enough to treat u better next time! Anyways... now thta you know, you can try it if you meet a Kadek-wannabe next time. As for awkwardness after, just laugh it off and say "Yeah... you were sooo naive that u believed that! Man... are you a GO or what?"

Oh yeah and I met Sophie in Cherating. She has left by now i think. She got offered another teaching job some place better. Sorry, don't know the details. Everybody was really cool actually!

hey minouche, yep thanks for asking.

I did have quite alot of fun! at first i thought the GOs were rather mellow and not-so-lively, but after I gave them a chance, I found that they were actually the nicest lot i've met so far in my 3 visits to club med. yup, and as alot of people have been saying, polski is truly a great, encouraging GO. i think the circus team were pretty laid-back and comfortable to hang out with this time. oh and there's this guy who does dance choreography, stefan?, he's a really good latin dancer who knows how to shake his booty, lol! well, how about you, have u been to any club meds recently?

actually my dad was kinda thinking of taking me back next week again for a short visit, cos he didnt have a chance to accompany my mum and i for this one. i think it'll be super weird if i go back again...eeks! i hope to go to sahoro next time if possible, cos snowboarding's the love of my life...i heard that its very good for snowsports?

yep, thanks for the advice. i'll probably put him on the ignore list if he gets too odd.
oh yes, and sorry i'm kinda new to this forum ;P

i guess i didnt stay long at all, only 3 days 2 nights, so perhaps i didnt experience what you experienced. i only spent abt an hr with him anyways. my mum was his only student for yoga that day, but she seemed fine with him. well i guess if he just sends a hi or something, i'll reply out of courtesy, but anything weirder, i'll probably put him on ignore. thanks for the advice though!

yep, i met flo and polski. as for the rest, i didnt get to meet them...although i did hear about rie, dunno if she's left already. i met ahu, thierry, j-lo, stefan, alicia, emma, yas, giant though. and yep, im Singaporean ;P (that's why my dad wants to take me again next week...i'm not too sure abt it though, it's prob gonna be weird!) how about you, where are you from?

Hey windblownworld, (this is circus mermaid again)
I met most of the GOs you talked about. About going there again, I went in January 06 and then in May 06 again and i thought it'd be weird and that the GOs would think I have no better place to go and stuff! :-/ It was weird at first, but after the first few awkward moments, when everyone had realized i was back, the GOs became really friendly and said stuff like welcome back and stuff. It was really sweet and made me feel really welcome:-). If you have a change, go again! I know i would if i could. You asked where I'm from, well I'd say it's really complicated but to simplify stuff I'm 1/4 Spanish, 1/4 Venezuelan, 1/4 Japanese and 1/4 Argentinian (and i was born in Switzerland). I know, it gives me a headache just to say it all. I'm like a cocktail (cuz I'm so mixed) and I've gotta say, it is kinda hard to find your true identity with so many nationalities going on...Oh well, at least I get a taste of loads of cultures. I've been in S'pore for 12 years

hello ;)
ahhh cool, but at least u had a gap between that, shouldnt be weird at all, lol! but i guess we're all human, so it would be very understandable to have those awkward glances. im glad they made u feel very welcomed though. i guess i wouldnt mind going back again, lol, it'll be really funny to see their expressions! i do kinda miss it though.

and wow, i have to say, that's a whole lot of nationalities! but it makes life all the more interesting. so, what language(s) do u speak? and cool that u live in Singapore too. are you studying or working at the moment?

btw, are u going back to the same or different club med any time soon? i'll prob not go back during the end of year hols, cos i've already planned, saved, and am in the midst of booking a snowboarding trip to Whistler, BC. can't wait!

Can't wait! actually we were misinformed by whoever it was who said he was gone. he's still there. so that brings the number of times i've seen him to a total of 3! lucky me! he was actually less weird this time...fortunately

hi. i can talk only the best about kadek. i had have an accident and my feets were pressed to much so it get the colours in dark blue and red. with the help of kadek a normal blood circulation came back and after two days after the accident really nothing could be seen at the feed. i think without the "mental healing" i were not able to go back to germany. i only could thank kadek.
