I've just come back from a fantastic week spent at CM Djerba La Douce.
The GO team is excellent - be it regarding sports (land & water sports)or entertainment (very imaginative and sooo funny. The rooms (Calypso rooms have just been renovated but Aziza rooms are also very big and comfortable) are great and the food was delicious. New Year's Eve party was awesome and I'm really looking forward to my next CM vacation ! Chris

Chris
Happy to hear you had a great time over New Year's. I spent myself that week there, but in 2004, when the news about the Tsunami reached us. Do you know, if they still have those small single rooms at the Calypso building (2nd floor) with no single supplement? Wish you a nice next time. As to myself, it will be La Pointe (7th time) in spring... what else!

Hi Kiki,
It was really great. I can only recommend Djerba La Douce. I wish I would have been able to stay longer. Regarding the rooms, all the former single Calypso rooms have been renovated and transformed into "luxury" rooms and suites... I had the opportunity to visit them and I have to admit that they are very nice (they look a bit like the Da Balaïa rooms - fresh colors and modern furniture). The Aziza rooms are also great but more "traditional" ones. Lucky you if you have already planned your next trip to La Pointe. One of the land sports GOs was from Mauritius. A very nice guy as all the team was ! Chris

Merci Chris.
Oh well, another village where some of the rooms (singles with no supplements on top of that...) have been changed into luxury rooms... Not sure, when I'll go back to La Douce. It used to be my village 'chouchou' for years and I've liked all the types of rooms (Calypso, Aziza, bungalows), although very different, also price wise. |
